What is Wikirectory?

Wikirectory is a place where you can look for any domain/website and find information about it.

Where did the name come from?

It's a portmanteau (combination) of Wiki and Directory = Wikirectory, since it is similar to a directory of websites. You'll see later on that it's actually quite different.

What is a Wiki?

A Wiki is a website based on a collaborative content management system. This website uses the MediaWiki program, the same as Wikipedia.

How is Wikirectory different from Wikipedia?

Wikipedia is a general encyclopedia, Wikirectory is an encyclopedia of websites and domain names.

How do I find websites in Wikipedia?

Use the search function to the right.

How do I add a site to Wikipedia?

Start at the add a site page.

My site's information is wrong! How can I change it?

Use the edit link in the right menu to edit the article, or use a section edit link to edit just the corresponding section of the article. Your changes will be immediately visible. You might want to create an account and log in first. See why.

I need help editing/creating a new article

You don't answer my question here, where can I find answers?

Click the discussion link (for this FAQ page) in the right menu and add your question. I'll answer it later.

Are these FAQ questions real?

No. I just made them up, but hopefully they will help ya'll. :)
